Having experienced the orchestra from within—as a performer and from the podium—Òscar views collaboration not merely as a professional network, but as a site of shared inquiry and resonance. Thus, he learned to listen differently: to perceive time as matter, to detect where notation is effective and where it requires greater subtlety for the gesture to communicate to the performer. Òscar’s multifaceted experiences have shaped his writing: not only in technical terms, but in the very way of imagining sound. His music has been championed by institutions including the Los Angeles Philharmonic (Green Umbrella/Noon to Midnight) and Mozarteum University Salzburg, which dedicated a portrait concert to his chamber music.
